“Learning To Breathe..One Woman’s Heroic Journey to
Save Her Son’s Life and Yours”
President at Ecola Termite and Pest Management, Host of The Sue Fries Show on 99.5 KKLA
Thirty years ago, Susan Fries married into the glamorous business of pest management. And after 20 years in the business, she made a decision to change the direction of pest management to offer more environmentally responsible methods of extermination. Having a child who suffers from chronic allergies to dust mites as well as attention deficit disorder, Ecola Termite Services’ Susan Fries has always been particularly conscious of not only the global environment, but her family’s immediate surroundings. Her family’s health combined with her love for animals were the real driving forces behind her decision to operate an eco-sensitive pest management company. And with growing sensitivity to factors such as global warming, pollution and a generally increasing “green” movement, Fries knew that the best thing to do would be to buy her own alternative termite treatment company. This ultimately led to ECOLA Termite & Pest Service’s “Best Green Exterminator” Award.

“Protect Yourself – Learn How!”
Christy Adair, Impact Personal Safety of Southern California
Discussion and demonstrations on how to protect yourself from verbal and physical attacks.
What do good communication skills and self-defense have in common? Knowing you can handle yourself in any physical situation means you carry yourself differently. If you believe your life is worth fighting for, you’re likely to believe your ideas, health and happiness are worth it too. When you are able to communicate clearly what you want or need from any situation, you assess people differently, you value yourself differently, people listen to you differently. Your personal safety skills turn into healthy communication skills that translate to all areas of your life.
Impact Personal Safety of Southern California offers dynamic, empowering, self-defense, assertiveness, boundary-setting classes encompassing verbal strategies, awareness skills, and yes, full-force physical assailant defense throughout Southern California. Our training is focused on prevention of and recovery from assault as it puts students in touch with their innate power regardless of size, strength, fitness or (dis)ability level. We are women and men working together to end the cycle of violence.
